Welcome to My World.
Welcome to The.M.Print: A Visual Diary of Fashion, Business & Becoming
“I stopped blogging. Life kept happening. Now I’m ready to document it again.”
I think I’ve always been a little obsessed with documenting my life.
The outfits, the places, the ideas, the building, and the still trying to figure things out.
Somewhere down the line, I lost my passion for blogging, so I simply just stopped blogging. I stopped documenting certain parts of my life. Maybe because I got busy, maybe I was overthinking it, or maybe my ideas just didn’t align with the “it” trends of the world. Maybe somewhere between building a business and trying to build a life that actually feels like mine, I forgot that I didn't need to have everything figured out before I could tell the story.
So, I'm starting again…
I think something has been missing.
For a while, I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Life was moving, I was working, creating, building, figuring things out — but I felt like I was missing a place to put all the thoughts that lived in my head.
I needed an outlet.
Not necessarily someone to talk to. Not another conversation where I could talk somebody's ear off. Just somewhere I could say what I was thinking, what I was feeling, what I was creating, and what I was still trying to figure out without worrying about being judged for it.
That used to be blogging for me.
And now, I'm coming back.
So... why did I stop?
Honestly? I think I was trying too hard to figure out what kind of blogger I was supposed to be.
This was during the era of fashion bloggers. The girls would document their latest fashion finds, linking every outfit, and telling us which trends we absolutely needed to know about.
Then there were the beauty bloggers.
Do I really need to go any further?
And, of course, the lifestyle girls. Some were yogis. Some were world travelers. Some had perfectly curated homes and seemingly perfect mornings. There was always another category, another niche, another mold to fit into.
And I remember thinking:
Where do I fit?
The truth is, I didn't.
And maybe that's why I'm here now.
Because I've realized I don't need to fit neatly into one category to have something worth saying.
So, what is The.M.Print?
The.M.Print is my visual diary.
It's the behind-the-scenes of the woman I'm becoming.
It's the clothes, the business ideas, the beauty appointments, the travel, the everyday moments, the things I'm learning, the things I'm questioning, and the things I'm building.
It's the pretty parts.
And the parts that aren't so pretty.
It's where I get to document the process instead of pretending I've already arrived.
Fashion has always been my love story.
My relationship with fashion is a love story that doesn't really have an ending.
There are days when I love it so much that it genuinely makes my heartbeat faster. A great dress can change my entire mood. Putting an outfit together can make an ordinary day feel a little more exciting.
And then there are the days when I question it...
I don't always agree with the fashion industry or the way it operates. Sometimes I question the expectations, the exclusivity, the constant pressure to buy, keep up, look a certain way, or become whatever the industry says is next.
But ironically, those frustrations are part of what keeps me going.
Because they make me want to build something different.
They make me want to keep building Calla Lily Formals.
Building Calla Lily has not been easy.
Actually, that's putting it lightly.
It's been an uphill battle.
There are days when I'm completely honest with myself and think, How are we still doing this?
I've been officially involved with Calla Lily since 2016, when I moved back home from college. Since then, I've worn a lot of hats.
And I still do.
But the hat I'm most proud of is the one I worked my way into:
Creative Director.
That's the part of this journey that feels the most like me.
Creating the vision. Curating the experience. Styling. Merchandising. Thinking about how a woman feels when she walks through the door. Imagining what Calla Lily could become.
I'm not just interested in keeping the business going.
I want to see what happens when we actually build the fashion empire I've always envisioned.
And that's part of what I'm documenting here.
I'm documenting the journey.
Not the finished version.
The journey.
I want to document what it looks like to build Calla Lily into a fashion empire while figuring out who I am along the way.
There will be dresses.
There will be business.
There will be beauty.
There will probably be a lot of outfits.
There will be ideas that work and ideas that absolutely do not.
There will be moments where I feel like I know exactly what I'm doing and moments where I question everything.
I want all of it here.
Because I don't want to look back one day and only have the polished version of the story.
I want to remember the behind-the-scenes.
And then there's becoming.
I think I've spent a lot of my life thinking about who I should be.
Who I should be by a certain age.
What I should have accomplished.
What my career should look like.
What my life should look like.
But I'm learning that becoming isn't about arriving at some final version of yourself.
It's about becoming the person you desire to be on your own path, in your own journey, at your own pace.
And maybe that's what The.M.Print is really about.
Becoming.
Becoming the creative director.
Becoming the businesswoman.
Becoming the woman with the life I've always imagined.
Becoming someone I'm proud of.
And documenting her along the way.
So, welcome to The.M.Print.
This is my visual diary of fashion, business, and becoming.
And this time, I'm not trying to fit it into a mold.
